Open to High School Juniors and Seniors
The Summer Program for Emerging Elected Dreamers (SPEED) is a 4-week immersive experience designed to turn high school juniors and seniors into confident, capable changemakers. Through hands-on learning in entrepreneurship, technology, and civics, students gain the tools to lead in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.
What is SPEED?
Core Curriculum
-
Entrepreneurship
Students turn local problems into business ideas. They learn to pitch, fund, and build ventures that serve their communities.
-
Technology
Students create websites, podcasts, social media campaigns, and video content. They learn to use tech as a leadership tool.
-
Civics
From speechwriting and debates to campaign strategy and policy analysis—students experience the full lifecycle of power.
Each week, SPEED students sit at the table with real-world leaders—elected officials, CEOs, tech founders, nonprofit heads, and culture-makers. These roundtables build confidence, expand networks, and spark inspiration.
“I never thought I’d be talking to State Representatives at 17.”
— Adian, High School Senior
Every high school participant is matched with a trained College Ambassador—near-peer mentors who guide, encourage, and uplift throughout the program. It’s more than support. It’s a partnership built on trust, representation, and leadership growth.
Mentorship Model
In the final week, students present their civic initiative, business idea, or campaign strategy to a panel of leaders, their families, and the broader community. It is their moment to lead, advocate, and shine.
